Special Needs Unit
The Special Needs Unit seeks to improve the social and academic well-being of all our students through inclusive practice and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Currently, there are three levels of class placements, they are; Early years (3-7 years), Primary Applied (8-13), and Secondary Applied (14-18).
Our curriculum for teaching and learning is the ASDAN (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network). ASDAN offers a flexible approach to learning and an imaginative way of accrediting young people’s achievements. It provides a wide range of curriculum award programs for students with a wide range of abilities and students who have learning difficulties.
ASDAN Award Programs blend activity-based curriculum enrichment with a framework for the development, assessment and accreditation of key skills and other personal and social skills, with emphasis on rewarding achievement.
